LIFE COGENERATION.PL is an in­no­va­ti­ve “waste to energy” tech­no­lo­gy for mu­ni­ci­pal waste and sewage sludge ma­na­ge­ment and elec­tri­ci­ty­/he­at pro­duc­tion. The tech­no­lo­gy is based on the ga­si­fi­ca­tion process.
The tech­no­lo­gy combines waste streams of a high caloric value in a ho­mo­ge­ne­ous mixture of fuel that will ensure eco­lo­gi­cal and ener­ge­tic sta­bi­li­ty of ga­si­fi­ca­tion process. Syngas, the product of ga­si­fi­ca­tion, will be burned in the highly ef­fec­ti­ve co­ge­ne­ra­tion unit, pro­du­cing elec­tri­ci­ty and heat.

What LIFE COGENERATION PL promises to offer is a complete wa­ste­-to­-e­ner­gy plant, with untre­ated ener­ge­tic fraction of mu­ni­ci­pal waste and sewage as an input and heat and elec­tri­ci­ty as an output.
The tech­no­lo­gy includes unique com­bi­na­tion of fol­lo­wing pro­ces­ses: ALTERNATIVE FUEL FORMING from mu­ni­ci­pal waste and sewage sludge, GASIFICATION of this mixture and com­bu­stion in COGENERATION unit for si­mul­ta­ne­ous pro­duc­tion of heat and elec­tri­ci­ty.

Ga­si­fi­ca­tion is a process that converts organic or fossil based car­bo­na­ce­ous ma­te­rials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high tem­pe­ra­tu­res (>700 °C), without com­bu­stion, with a con­trol­led amount of oxygen and/or steam.
